Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel: Television Should Not Flaunt Economic Corruption Trials to the People

Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel should not flaunt the economic corruption trials on television to the people.

Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel, the head of the Coalition Council of Revolutionary Forces and a member of the Expediency Discernment Council, in a conversation with IRNA.

Sometimes, just as a simple surgical operation can lead to widespread post-operative infection with more harmful effects, incorrect advertising policies can also cause this fight against corruption to be misunderstood, leading to public distrust towards the entire system and revolution, and providing an excuse for the enemies of the revolution and internal opponents. For example, if every time we turn on the television we see a court in session and a corrupt individual being tried, people will get used to saying, ‘So whose turn is it today?’ Therefore, this method is not wise.

If the advertising agencies are eager to flaunt these trials to the people every day, naturally one should expect that people will think that everyone from top to bottom is corrupt and the country is drowning in corruption.
