Gianni Infantino remains FIFA President

In the elections of the International Federation of Football, Gianni Infantino was re-elected as FIFA President until 2027 with the majority vote of football federations.

Mr. Infantino was the only candidate for the FIFA presidency. During his tenure, the World Cups in Russia have been held.

The hosting of the World Cup in Qatar faced numerous criticisms, to which Infantino strongly responded and defended its organization.

Gianni Infantino is the ninth FIFA president and in 2016, he succeeded Sepp Blatter, who managed this organization for 18 years.

The next World Cup will be held in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
