Goudarzi, Spokesperson of the Parliament's Presidium: Spending on Arbaeen Ceremony is Not an Expense

Goudarzi, the spokesperson for the Parliament’s Presidium, says spending on the Arbaeen ceremony is not an expense.

Abbas Goudarzi, the spokesperson for the Parliament’s Presidium, referring to the government’s actions for the Arbaeen religious ceremony, said that spending on organizing the Arbaeen pilgrimage is not an expense but an investment.

He added that one of the Parliament’s approvals in the budget law is allocating one percent of the profitable state companies’ expenses to the cultural sector, and it is necessary to ensure that Arbaeen’s share in these funds is properly considered.

Goudarzi added that promoting pilgrimage in society has numerous educational benefits, which are more impactful than spending trillions.
