Government Forces Attack Dormitory of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences
Reports from Iran indicate that in the early hours of Saturday, November 19, Islamic Republic security forces attacked the dormitory of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences students and arrested several students.
This attack occurred hours after professors from three universities—Isfahan, Shiraz, and Beheshti—issued separate letters calling for an end to the attacks by security forces and special units on universities and student dormitories.
The early Saturday morning attack by Islamic Republic security forces on the dormitory of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Sepahan Shahr is the latest in a series of widespread and violent assaults by these forces on universities and student dormitories in various cities across Iran.
The National Student Union Council reported that these forces, in the initial minutes of Saturday, November 19, attacked the dormitory of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences students. After severely beating the dormitory guard who resisted the security forces, they arrested two students.
