Government Newspaper Urges Guardian Council to Disqualify Alireza Monadi

The government newspaper asks the Guardian Council to disqualify Alireza Monadi.

The Iran newspaper, referring to the published video of Monadi Sepidan, the representative of Tabriz, wrote

Alireza Monadi Sepidan, the representative of some cities in East Azerbaijan province, whose people are known for their morals and etiquette, displayed various inappropriate behaviors in a public meeting in less than two minutes.

While he was supposed to listen to people’s problems according to the agenda of the public meeting, he showed behaviors such as putting his hand in his mouth, cleaning his teeth, eating snacks, fanning himself, lounging, and ignoring the audience, indicating that he not only had no intention to listen to the person’s words but also did not see it necessary to respect him and the people standing around his table.

As many observers and social media users, regardless of any partisan or political views, demanded an official and immediate apology from this representative for his indefensible behavior, and some also expressed hope that such cases would be decisively considered by the Guardian Council in the qualification of candidates for the next parliament.
