The government’s newspaper is angry at Qalibaf: Do not place new financial burdens on the government
The government’s newspaper, seemingly upset with Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and other parliament members’ opposition to the government’s proposal to cancel the distribution of vouchers and disregard the return of essential goods prices to September 2021 levels, wrote that in recent months, due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the prices of essential goods and energy in global markets have significantly increased. This, coupled with rising costs in countries, has also intensified their inflation. Consequently, for our country as well, like other countries, the prices of essential goods have multiplied compared to last year, and the government’s obligation to distribute goods at September 2021 rates will place a heavy financial burden on the government.
The newspaper continued by stating that another point to consider is preventing the imposition of new financial burdens on the government.
