Government Spokesperson: I Can't Talk, It's Too Hot Here

Government spokesperson: I can’t speak here, it’s too hot.

Fatemeh Mohajerani, the government spokesperson, stepped down from the podium during a school opening ceremony in Rasht and reacted to the hot conditions of the speaking area.

After attendees said they couldn’t hear her, she responded, ‘Well, it’s hot and I can’t speak there, but I will make a sacrifice for you,’ and returned to the podium.

Many social media users, in response to this video, have reminded the government of the frequent power outages in various parts of Iran and the conditions where citizens are forced to work in the heat without cooling devices.

Some have also recalled the government’s directive to work at a temperature of 27 degrees.

The Iranian government is facing an energy production problem, and power outages occur frequently across the country, leading to public protests and financial losses for businesses, industrial producers, and farmers.
