Government Spokesperson: I Have No Information on the Return of the Morality Police

Government Spokesperson: I am unaware of the return of the Guidance Patrol

Fatemeh Mohajerani, the government spokesperson, said on Wednesday, October 14, on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting regarding the rumor of the return of the Guidance Patrol vans that she was unaware of the reappearance of these patrols. If there is any issue, I will follow up with the Minister of Interior.

She added that, like any other time, we need internal cohesion. Some of our people are religious, and we must find a way to respect individual freedoms from both sides.

Meanwhile, audiences have reported the return of the Guidance Patrol vans to the streets of various cities in Iran by sending images and reports. Iranian domestic media reported that some members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly are incorporating certain repressive provisions on chastity and hijab into the bill to prevent violence against women.
