Government Spokesperson Issues Permit for Importing Used Cars from Free and Commercial Zones

The government spokesperson announced that the import of used cars from free and commercial zones has been approved.

Ali Bahadori Jahromi, in his press conference, in response to a question about the latest status of car imports, reminded that the ban on car imports had reached about 6 years before the current government, which was lifted with the government’s resolution. One of the government’s plans was to reform the car market by supporting the increase in car production, which is still on the agenda, and in 2022, car production grew by 40%.

The government spokesperson emphasized that in the third phase, the import of used passenger cars from free zones was approved, and its executive processes are being followed up. Currently, there is no regulation approved by the government for car imports that has not been announced.
