The government spokesperson says the reason for the helicopter entering the fog must be investigated, while many ambiguities still exist regarding the crash of the helicopter carrying Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran. Officials of the Islamic Republic each present new topics on this matter.
In the latest comments on this issue, Ali Bahadori Jahromi, the government spokesperson, has said, ‘We realized the helicopter had crashed at 2:30.’
He continued, ‘But we didn’t tell the cabinet members and held the government meeting because maintaining work order was important for Mr. Raisi. At the end of the meeting, the cabinet members were informed, and a crisis meeting was convened.’
These statements have been made while the officials of the Islamic Republic had ambiguous information dissemination for hours after the crash, only referring to a hard landing of the helicopter, which presumably did not have many casualties.
Jahromi also added about the weather conditions at the time of the flight, ‘The weather wasn’t very bad at the time of the flight, and permission to fly had been granted, but it must be investigated why the helicopter did not ascend and went into the cloud or fog.’
