Government’s Efforts to Reduce Elite Migration

Jam-e Jam Newspaper reported on the Cabinet’s directive titled ‘Regulations for Supporting Iranian Elites’

According to this directive, the government has planned supports for these groups, including housing facilities, insurance supports, allocating 20% of the capacity for recruiting faculty members to elites, granting research funds, supporting the establishment and founding of companies, and creating joint investments in free economic zones and science and technology parks for Iranian elites.

Meanwhile, last week, the government also issued a directive to support non-Iranian elites, which includes services such as special residency, banking facilities, facilitating the issuance of work permits or business licenses, conditions for continuing education like Iranian citizens, issuance of driving licenses, SIM cards, and insurance services for these individuals.

The claim of supporting Iranian and non-Iranian elites is made while, according to statistics released by the Iran Migration Observatory, currently, nearly 70% of senior managers and business owners are considering migrating from the country.
