Grossi’s verification of Iran’s nuclear program will be reviewed in a technical meeting
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, referring to his recent trip to Iran and meeting with senior officials of the Islamic Republic, has said that it seems ways are opening up for verifying Iran’s nuclear program.
Rafael Grossi, on Wednesday, March 22, at the Council on Foreign Relations think tank in the US, in response to a question about the discovery of 84% enriched uranium traces at Iran’s nuclear sites, said we consider every option possible and are reviewing it, but no possibility can prevent creating a better situation in the agreement for better verification of Iran’s nuclear program.
After the announcement of the discovery of 84% enriched uranium traces at the Fordow site, Mr. Grossi traveled to Tehran on March 4 and met with the President, the Foreign Minister, and the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization. In his meeting with Mohammad Eslami, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, he agreed on more inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency of Iran’s facilities.
The method for implementing further verifications is set to be reviewed in a technical meeting.
