Grossi’s Visit to the Fordow and Natanz Nuclear Sites

After Tehran announced its readiness to address ambiguities about Iran’s nuclear program, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency visited two uranium enrichment facilities on Friday, both of which are at the center of Western concerns.

The visit by Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to Iran comes after he previously warned that the room for maneuver over Iran’s nuclear program is shrinking.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Mr. Grossi visited the Ali Mohammadi Fordow and Ahmadi Roshan Natanz nuclear complexes on Friday, November 15, 2024.

IRNA news photos show that Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Kazem Gharibabadi, the deputy legal and international affairs minister of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, also accompanied Mr. Grossi.

Given the results of the U.S. presidential election, it is anticipated that Donald Trump will adopt a tougher stance against Tehran after his inauguration in January.
