Hadi Hejazifar: I will no longer make Sacred Defense films with government funding
The well-known cinema and television actor, in response to the question about having complaints during the production of ‘Moghiyat-e Mahdi’ due to the difficult production conditions and later stating that you would not make films involving tanks, explosions, and such, said to Tasnim: I still stand by this decision.
I will make Sacred Defense films when it happens with personal and private funding, not government funding. In fact, I will no longer do this with government money.
He also responded to a question about some artists moving to home video networks and how television should bridge the gap with artists and whether he himself would like to collaborate with television again, saying: If the conditions are right, I really love television.
In my opinion, it should focus on certain features and create some trust. There should be some freedom of action and thought. I don’t mean to say it doesn’t exist now, but the arbitrary approaches are really beyond our capacity.
