Hamad bin Jassim: War with Iran is not in the interest of Arab countries

Hamad bin Jassim, the former Prime Minister of Qatar, said that war with Iran is not in the interest of the Gulf countries. Bin Jassim, referring to this issue, called for frank dialogue to achieve a solution that would be a significant achievement not only for peace but also for trade and economy.

In response to a question about the concerns of many Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia, about Iran, he added, ‘My primary concern is not Iran, but rather ourselves and our behavior in the region. I mean the leaders of the region, of which I am not one. I believe that if we can control our joy, disappointment, and anger, and say, okay, we will cooperate with each other, we have differences with this country or that country, but these differences should be resolved in a civilized manner.’
