Hamed Esmaeilion, Repression of Protests, Prison and Torture are Concerns of Iranians

Hamed Esmaeilion, suppression of protests, imprisonment, and torture are concerns for Iranians.

Hamed Esmaeilion, a prominent opponent of the Islamic Republic, stated in a tweet for International Workers’ Day that the suppression of strikes and protests, imprisonment, and torture, instead of the right to form unions and strike, are the daily issues for many Iranians who see the solution in moving past the corrupt Islamic Republic government.

In this tweet, he mentioned that this year’s Workers’ Day arrives in Iran while many Iranian workers are imprisoned or on strike, with some having spent decades fighting for their rights and, over the past seven months, have sacrificed their lives in the struggle.

Today is International Workers’ Day.
