Hamid and Farzaneh Ghareh Hassanlou's Sentence Changed to Exile Imprisonment

The sentence of Hamid and Farzaneh Ghareh Hassanlou has been changed to imprisonment in exile.

The punishment for Hamid Ghareh Hassanlou and Farzaneh Ghareh Hassanlou, who were accused of involvement in the murder of a Basiji, has been changed to 15 years of imprisonment in exile and 5 years of imprisonment in exile, respectively.

Dr. Ghareh Hassanlou was arrested along with his wife during the protests a few months ago.

In the first half of December, he was sentenced to death on charges of involvement in the murder of Rouhollah Ajamian. Mrs. Ghareh Hassanlou was also sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment in exile. The sentencing of this couple sparked widespread protests.
