Hamid Farrokhnezhad reacts to the IRNA article: I did not give any commitment to security and judicial institutions despite their repeated requests.
Hamid Farrokhnezhad, an Iranian cinema actor, responded on his Instagram to a report by the state news agency IRNA, which claimed he left the country after giving a commitment. He stated that in no interrogation session or various summonses did he give any commitment to any security or judicial institution, despite their repeated requests.
He also criticized the government once again, writing: If you dare, lift these pressures and restrictions from my colleagues and see how many statements harsher than what I said you will receive. How tragic your situation is that you continue your oppressive rule through threats and hostage-taking.
IRNA, the official news agency of the Iranian government, responded to yesterday’s Instagram posts where Mr. Farrokhnezhad explicitly called Ali Khamenei a dictator. They wrote that this Iranian actor was banned from leaving the country until four days ago and left Iran after giving a commitment.
