Hamid Rasaei's Claim: Hassan Rouhani is Suspected in His Child's Death

Hamid Rasaei claims Hassan Rouhani is a suspect in his son’s death

Hamid Rasaei, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, claimed on Tuesday, November 24, that Hassan Rouhani, the former president of the Islamic Republic, is a suspect in his son’s death.

He said that despite the ambiguities and serious questions surrounding this case, Rouhani’s eligibility for governmental responsibilities continues to be confirmed.

In this television interview, Rasaei claimed that Rouhani’s son died years ago in a house located in a protected area, and according to him, the circumstances of the incident are unclear.

He also accused Rouhani of having long trips to England and a controversial academic record alongside this matter.

The case of the death of Mohammad Fereydoun, Hassan Rouhani’s son, was first raised in the 1990s, and since then, various political figures have presented conflicting narratives and claims about it.

No judicial authority has yet released an official and definitive report on the cause of his death, and the issue remains at the political level.

Some political sources, including Hossein Mousavian, a former member of the nuclear negotiation team, have described Rouhani’s son’s death as an ambiguous case in recent years, while several conservative media outlets have considered it a personal incident.
