Asian Games Hangzhou: Men’s Climbing Gold Medal and Women’s Canoeing Bronze

On the tenth day of the official start of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the Iranian delegation succeeded in winning one gold medal and one bronze medal.

On Tuesday, Hediyeh Kazemi managed to win the sixteenth bronze medal for Iranian athletes in the Hangzhou Asian Games in the women’s single kayak 500-meter event.

Ms. Kazemi competed against opponents from China, India, Korea, Singapore, Japan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Thailand, and ultimately, with a time of two minutes and 63 hundredths of a second, she stood in third place behind the Chinese and Singaporean competitors who won the gold and silver medals.

Then, Reza Alipour in the speed climbing event managed to surpass his Chinese rival with a time of five seconds and 302 thousandths of a second and, just like in the 2018 Asian Games, hung the gold medal around his neck.

Thus, at the end of the tenth day of the 2022 Asian Games, Iranian athletes, with a total of 6 gold, 14 silver, and 16 bronze medals, ranked eleventh in the medal standings, above Indonesia and below Hong Kong.
