Cinema actress Hanieh Tavassoli wrote a few moments ago, sharing two notifications, saying, ‘Two cases, two courts, these are my days in hopes of better days.’

In recent days, the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against 7 artists for the alleged cyber dissemination of false information and publishing unsubstantiated content. Among these artists are Taraneh Alidoosti, Mojgan Ilanloo, Hengameh Ghaziani, Tahmineh Milani, Sahar Valdibegian, Maryam Boobani, and Hanieh Tavassoli.

According to Article 746 of the Islamic Penal Code, the publication of a piece of information or news in cyberspace only constitutes the criminal act of spreading falsehoods when the publisher acts solely with criminal intent and with the purpose of harming others or causing public or official unrest by disseminating false information.
