Hanieh Tavassoli: I’m not feeling well, I’m not planning to act for now

Iranian actress Hanieh Tavassoli wrote in an Instagram post that she has turned down work offers and, due to the state of society and her own mental condition, is not planning to act for the time being.

She stated, ‘I’m not feeling well. There’s no theater, no film, no series. I had signed a theater contract in August 2022 to perform in April and May 2023, but considering the state of society and my own mental condition, I apologized. This is my current situation, and I don’t know for how long. Hoping for better days.’

Ms. Tavassoli was among the actors who supported the recent protests in Iran and also boycotted the Fajr Film Festival.
