Harris’ defense of Biden

Harris, the Vice President of the United States, defended Biden’s economic record in her first media interview after becoming the front-runner among Democratic Party candidates, confirming that the current US policy on managing the Israel-Hamas conflict will not change.

According to Shargh Dana political reporter and Sianan announcer, Kamala Harris and her deputy, Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, were interviewed at a local restaurant in Savannah, Georgia, owned by an African American, and the interview was recorded.

Harris and Walz traveled to Georgia by bus this week and visited rural communities and suburban areas to gain support in crucial states.

Following her nomination on July 21, Harris traveled nationwide, reducing Donald Trump’s lead over Joe Biden in national and state polls.

However, Harris has had limited interactions with the press apart from brief conversations with reporters during her campaign rallies.

He promised earlier this month to conduct an impromptu interview before September, which led to criticism from Trump and his deputy, Senator Pence, who participate in various interviews.

CNN released a short preview of the interview on Thursday, asking Harris about his policy changes since the end of the 2019 presidential campaign.

The interviewer asked, ‘How should voters come to terms with some of the changes you have made and some of the explanations you have given in your policy? Can they be assured that what you are saying today will be part of your policy in the future?’

Harris replied, ‘The most important and fundamental aspect of my views and decisions is that my values have not changed.’

You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed in this issue and worked on it, that the climate crisis is a serious and urgent issue, and we must use criteria to address it so that we do not fall behind in time constraints. My values have not changed in return for the work we must do to secure border security.

Harris also committed to using a Republican in his cabinet if he wins the November election.

He said, ‘I think it’s very important when important decisions come to have people at the table who have different perspectives and experiences.’

Harris defended the economic record of the Biden administration, citing job growth and the fastest economic recovery post-COVID-19 among wealthy countries as successes in the past four years.

The US Vice President emphasized that his values have not changed, saying, ‘I think the most important aspect of my policies and decisions is that my values have not changed.’

Accompanied by Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota and his running mate in the interview, Harris assured that regardless of their plans, voters are much more concerned about Donald Trump’s plans.

Harris also spoke about immigration, stating that he previously supported a bipartisan plan including a budget of hundreds of millions of dollars for building a border wall and will work as president to sign and implement this plan.

Harris, who had previously supported the closure of immigrant detention centers and cracking down on illegal border crossings, stated that illegal entry into this country should have consequences for those individuals, and she will enforce the law in this regard.

However, Harris refrained from explicitly endorsing criminal penalties for illegal immigrants. The US Vice President also declared her explicit and unwavering support for Israel’s security in the context of the Middle East conflict, while adding that Israel’s self-defense methods are important.

Referring to the fact that many innocent Palestinians lost their lives during Israel’s response to the October 7th attack, she called for a ceasefire and the release of hostages held by Hamas.

Meanwhile, Republican Senator James David Vance criticized Kamala Harris’ indifference to investigating the case of 13 American soldiers killed at Kabul airport in August 2021 during a recent election rally in Pennsylvania, defending Donald Trump’s recent actions and saying she can go to hell.

James David Vance stated that 13 American soldiers were killed at Kabul airport, but one person, due to negligence and carelessness that caused this incident, was not fired from their job.

This Republican senator, Kamala Harris, called the negligence disgraceful and said Harris is not willing to investigate what happened to the 13 American soldiers killed, the chaotic exit and mismanagement of the Biden administration from Afghanistan, and the negligence in the case of the 13 American soldiers killed at Kabul airport have become a major topic in the US presidential elections. Donald Trump’s campaign team constantly reminds of the Biden administration and Kamala Harris as the agents of the chaotic US exit from Afghanistan, stating that their performance has damaged the credibility and power of the United States in the world.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump criticized Kamala Harris’ statements in this interview at an event in Wisconsin and said he does not see her as a leader of America. He said she was sitting behind that big desk and didn’t seem like a leader to me.

Honestly, I don’t see her at the level to negotiate with the President of China or Kim Jong Un.

Kamala Harris also mentioned in the interview that she hopes to be the president for all Americans and is looking to appoint a Republican in her cabinet as a sign of bipartisan unity.

She stated without naming a specific person, ‘I believe having a Republican member in my cabinet would be beneficial for the American people.’
