Harris Overtakes Trump

Harris has taken the lead over Trump

Multiple polls had indicated that Harris was leading her opponent in the 2024 election, and yet many experts were looking forward to the release of the new YouGov poll conducted for CBS. The poll finally arrived, and Harris has indeed taken the lead over Trump in this poll as well, with a 50 to 49 percent advantage. This is a significant shift in the competitive field between the two serious contenders. Biden had never led Trump in this type of poll and had fallen behind by 5 percent in the week of withdrawing from the race.

Harris Overtakes Trump

All the metrics and statistics from the new poll indicate significant changes. The enthusiasm among Democrats to vote has increased considerably, and racial minorities, especially African Americans, have become surprisingly determined to vote. The lack of motivation among Democrats and racial minorities during Biden’s candidacy was very serious. It is still too early to judge or even to gain a clear perspective on the electoral situation, yet it must be said that the conditions have completely changed. The announcement of Harris’s vice-presidential candidate for the 2024 race will also be a special situation whose impact on public opinion we must await.
