Harris’s appeal has reached the economy as well
Two recent polls in America indicate that Americans are hopeful about Harris’s economic performance if she wins the election and leads the executive branch of the U.S.
These surprising results come because Trump, due to his reputation for business success and wealth, which was not entirely accurate, always had high approval in terms of economic performance in public opinion.
Now, for the first time in polls where Trump is one side, the tables have turned. In a CNBC poll, young Americans showed more optimism towards Harris’s economic performance, and a similar result was repeated in a University of Michigan poll for the Financial Times.
This approach by respondents is despite their negative view of the current economic situation in their country, and naturally, as they explicitly stated in response to the University of Michigan poll, they believe Harris will have a different approach and better management of the U.S. economy. Interestingly, Harris has gathered several key former figures from Biden’s economic team, who have long left the White House, as her main economic advisors in her campaign’s political management.
