Javan newspaper’s sharp attack on Khatami and Mousavi: The essence of both statements is overthrow
The ruling spirit of these two statements is overthrow and bypassing the legal institutions of the Islamic Republic. However, one is through a soft method and the other through a hard method, which is why it must be said that Khatami and Mousavi are two sides of the same coin.
Khatami, while questioning the legal structures of the Islamic system including the Guardian Council, the Assembly of Experts, the Expediency Discernment Council, and military institutions, has called for a reconsideration of these structures. This is exactly the same direction expressed in Mir Hossein Mousavi’s statement but with harsher language.
