Meysam Majidi, the head and researcher at the East Water and Environmental Research Center, stated in an interview with ISNA that Kashmar is facing a water crisis and land subsidence. In the current situation, the top priority for the country, and especially for Kashmar, is to secure water because past neglect of water issues is now showing its effects in various sectors. According to studies from 2018 until now, in the most optimistic scenario, we will have water in the city of Kashmar for an average of another 25 years.
