The former Barcelona coach will no longer lead the Matadors following the Spanish national team’s failure to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup after losing to Morocco. Luis Enrique has been removed from his position as the Matadors’ coach.

The Spanish Football Federation, in a statement expressing gratitude for Enrique’s efforts, announced that Luis Rubiales and José Francisco Molina, the technical director of the Spanish national team, have informed Enrique that he will no longer be leading the Matadors.
