The head of the Atomic Energy Organization: According to Article 36 of the JCPOA, we are in the phase of reducing our commitments.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated that based on Article 36 of the JCPOA, Iran has the legal right to reduce its commitments reciprocally if the other parties fail to fulfill their commitments, and we are currently in the phase of reducing commitments.

He continued, the director-general is obligated to report the implementation of Resolution 2231, which is the text of the JCPOA, to the Board of Governors every three months and to the United Nations Security Council every six months.

He stated that in the second part, which pertains to the JCPOA, the parties have commitments they have not fulfilled. The United States has withdrawn from the JCPOA and also prevents other countries from cooperating with Iran.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization noted that if a resolution is issued against Iran in the Board of Governors and political pressure is applied by the parties, Iran will respond as it has announced to them.
