Head of Emergency Organization: Pedestrian Emergency Team in Tehran Bazaar to Revive Those Who Had a Stroke Seeing Prices

The head of the Emergency Organization has deployed a walking emergency team in Tehran’s bazaar to revive those who have had a heart attack after seeing the prices.

Jafar Miadfar, the head of Iran’s Emergency Organization, mentioned in a press conference on March 17 at the Ministry of Health building the organization’s measures for assisting citizens on the eve of Nowruz. He stated, among other things, that they have walking emergency personnel in Tehran’s bazaar to revive anyone who might have a heart attack after seeing the prices.

Mr. Miadfar emphasized that even providing aid with motorcycles in the Tehran bazaar area is quite difficult. In recent days, images of the dense presence of citizens in the Tehran bazaar area, including on routes leading to metro stations, have sparked reactions on social media.

However, IRNA, the Iranian government’s news agency, wrote in a field report that the pre-New Year market is weaker than ever but still alive.

Some bazaar merchants also say that the massive presence of citizens in the market does not mean business is booming, and sales figures compared to previous New Year’s eves are not impressive.

However, others believe that some citizens still loosen their purse strings to keep the New Year traditions alive despite economic hardships.
