The head of the country’s Passive Defense Organization reported the thwarting of 200 small and large cyber attacks in the month leading up to the parliamentary elections.
According to General Jalali, in the month leading up to the elections, we witnessed nearly 200 various types of cyber attacks, both small and large.
He explained the situation by stating that during this period, we faced 4 or 5 major attacks, which were controlled and thwarted by our dear colleagues in the security department of the Ministry of Intelligence, the Ministry of Communications, and the Passive Defense, through a division of labor. Other attacks were also well controlled and neutralized by the efforts of the Ministry of Communications specialists.
The head of the country’s Passive Defense Organization stated that in the past 6 months, we had at least 100 DDos attacks, mostly foreign and aimed at disrupting services to citizens. Fortunately, the preparedness of the Ministry of Communications was able to maintain the stability and continuity of service delivery in the network.
