Head of Tehran City Council: Change of Tehran Mayor is Not True

The head of Tehran City Council says the change of Tehran’s mayor is not true

The head of Tehran City Council stated that there is no discussion regarding the change of Tehran’s mayor and said that rumors about the mayoral position being taken by certain individuals are not true, and an official complaint has been filed against the person who started this wave of lies on social media.

On Sunday, during the 249th session of Tehran City Council and in a gathering with reporters, Mehdi Chamran dismissed the rumor that the first deputy of the thirteenth government, Mohammad Mokhber, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, along with some other individuals, would take over the Tehran mayoralty. He added that there will be no change in the urban management system and Alireza Zakani will continue his work with strength.
