Head of the Air Health Group of the Ministry of Health: 45% of the country's vehicles are outdated

The head of the air health department of the Ministry of Health says 45% of the country’s vehicles are outdated.

Abbas Shahsuni states that one of the main reasons for increased air pollution is the operation of worn-out vehicles, with about 45% of the vehicles in the country being outdated.

In recent years, Iranian officials have designated more than 20 agencies as responsible for addressing the air pollution crisis, but each of these organizations shifts the responsibility of solving the crisis to other sectors.
