Head of the Industrial Machinery Union: Water Pump Mafia Raised Prices by One and a Half Times with Government Currency

The head of the Industrial Machinery Union said the water pump mafia increased prices by one and a half times with government currency.

With the onset of the water crisis in Tehran, the unprecedented demand for purchasing water pumps has led to these devices becoming expensive and scarce.

Mehdi Azarnia, the head of the Industrial and Construction Machinery Union, has reported a 100% increase in demand and the formation of a rush among people to obtain water pumps.

He criticized some manufacturers for exploitation, saying why a manufacturer who receives government currency and subsidized raw materials should suddenly increase the price of water pumps by 50%.
