Head of the Kurdistan Command for Promoting Virtue: Is the harm from lack of hijab greater, or from nepotism and corruption?

The head of the Kurdistan Command for Promoting Virtue and Preventing Vice said the main problem in our society is the lethargy, inefficiency, and administrative and financial corruption that troubles the general public.

Pourzahabi continued, sometimes there are vices in society that are evident, like improper hijab, which must certainly be prevented. However, there are also a series of vices that trouble and harm the general public, and not everyone in society is improperly dressed or without hijab.

He added, if everyone were to wear hijab and cover with a chador, would there be no more harm in this country? Certainly, that would not be the case, and the main issue in our society is lethargy, inefficiency, and administrative and financial corruption. Of course, I do not want to prioritize vices, and I emphasized first and foremost that lack of hijab must be prevented.

He emphasized that we should judge with our conscience and think about whether society suffers more harm from someone who, for any reason, either out of ignorance or deliberately, or because they do not know the religious significance of hijab, acts without hijab, or from someone who engages in nepotism, favoritism, and administrative corruption.
