Head of the Nursing Organization: We have deaths that wouldn't have happened if we had enough staff

The head of the Nursing Organization: We have deaths that wouldn’t happen if we had enough staff.

Mirzabeigi: Out of the 25,000 new staff that the ministry is in the process of recruiting, only 5,000 are allocated to nurses.

For each hospital bed, we should have 2.5 nurses available over a 24-hour period, considering shifts, but this is not the case. In some hospitals in the northern part of Tehran, sometimes there are only 0.5 nurses per bed.

Due to the lack of staff, sometimes we experience deaths that wouldn’t occur if we had enough personnel, and people must defend their rights.
