Health and Treatment Commission Member: The Living Conditions of the Healthcare Community Do Not Match Their Services

A member of the Health and Treatment Commission says the living conditions of the healthcare community do not match their services.

Abdolhossein Rouholamini, a representative and member of the 11th Parliament’s Health and Treatment Commission, said in an interview with the Jannat Abad program on Tehran Radio, ‘As a representative of the Parliament’s health and treatment sector, I have responsibilities such as regularly participating in the expert sessions of the Health and Treatment Commission and discussing topics related to the pharmaceutical industry, medical equipment, vaccines, and the training of medical staff, where I provide expert opinions in Parliament.’

The official in charge of the Health Committee for the province and city of Tehran in the 11th Parliament mentioned the supervisory aspect of the Health and Treatment Commission, stating that throughout the year, we pursued several comprehensive reports on the ‘Darooyar’ plan, reducing out-of-pocket expenses for people, avoiding imposing additional costs on them, and the supply chain, preparation, production, and distribution of medicine as specialized work.

He explained that the living conditions of the healthcare and health community in our country do not match their services compared to other sectors, and these shortcomings need to be addressed. Additionally, many payments to this sector are delayed. For instance, pharmacies buy medicine and infant formula in cash from the distributor and provide it to consumers at the price set by the government, but they receive the insurance difference months later.
