Heavy sarcasm from Ettela’at towards Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: It’s not supposed to be the same old story all over again.
Ettela’at newspaper wrote that after 11 terms of parliamentary experience since the revolution, it is expected from those elected to this parliament to have a greater concern than in the past in identifying priorities, especially in livelihood, economy, and liberation from crippling sanctions, for the continuation and strengthening of sustainable national solidarity. They should even erase and forgive some of the non-priority sidelines of the past and mend the rifts.
It does not seem rational for the early presidential elections to revolve around the same old familiar pivots that have already been tested and for the repeatedly tried prescriptions to be tested again. Those who have spent four or eight years resting should not again covet the saddle of power and leap onto this steed, starting the same old story all over again for another four years or more.
