Hengaw Human Rights Organization: At least 14 citizens have been killed in the Mahabad protests so far

The human rights organization Hengaw reports that at least 14 citizens have been killed in the Mahabad protests so far.

The Hengaw news website, which covers human rights issues in the Kurdish regions of Iran, published a photo of Mahabad cemetery and its new graves, stating that at least 14 citizens have been killed by direct fire from government forces during the recent popular resistance in Mahabad city.

In this image, several new graves can be seen adorned with red netting, a custom specific for young deceased individuals.

Jalal Mahmoudzadeh, the representative of Mahabad in the Iranian parliament, told news agencies on November 21 that up to that date, 11 people had been killed in this city. He mentioned that security forces had been deployed in various parts of the city, and some of them had fired at the windows of people’s homes, shops, and buildings.
