Historic Gold Win for Iranian Female Runner in Asian Championships

Nazanin Eidiyan from Iran won the gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles final at the Asian Junior Athletics Championships held in the UAE.

Eidiyan crossed the finish line faster than the others with a time of 58.86 seconds, breaking both the Iranian junior and senior records and standing on the top podium in Asia.

Last year, she won a silver medal in the same competition, and now, for the first time, Iran’s athletics in the female junior category has earned a gold medal in Asia.

In other events, Melika Norouzi placed fourth in the hammer throw, Mana Hosseini took seventh place in the javelin throw, and in the boys’ 400 meters, Sajjad Aghaei finished sixth.
