Homayoun Ghanizadeh: I Left the House That Was Searched Multiple Times

Homayoun Ghanizadeh left the house that was searched multiple times

Homayoun Ghanizadeh, the critical director, announced in a new Instagram post that he has moved out of his house, which was occasionally searched.

In this post, Mr. Ghanizadeh wrote about the pressure these searches put on him and expressed sadness over leaving a house full of memories.

On January 11, 2023, Homayoun Ghanizadeh, the Iranian theater and film director, posted a statement on his Instagram protesting the execution of protesters, describing it as disgraceful displays of bullying and authority, and called for them to stop.

In part of Mr. Ghanizadeh’s text addressed to the government, it was stated that they must know that in the streets, in every house, and in every alley, there is a Mohammad Hosseini and Mohammad Mehdi Karami who can no longer bear these hardships even at the cost of being executed, so stop these disgraceful displays of bullying and authority.
