Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reacted to Europe’s recent decision to expand sanctions against Iran.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s Foreign Minister, reacted to Europe’s recent decision to expand sanctions against Iran by posting a message on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter.
Amir-Abdollahian, citing the usual accusations against Israel, urged the European Union not to follow Washington’s advice to appease Israel.
He stated that the European Union’s reaction to Israel’s military operations in Gaza is almost nothing more than empty words and called for the EU to sanction Israel.
Josep Borrell, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, was tasked on Monday, April 23, with a joint decision from the 27 foreign ministers of the union to prepare and present specific proposals to intensify sanctions on Iran.
These sanctions will be structured in such a way that the Islamic Republic faces difficulties in the construction and development of its drones and missiles.
