Hossein Karroubi: Everyone is in favor of lifting the house arrest, both former and current heads of the country’s branches have openly declared their support for ending the house arrest. However, they say that the conditions are such that it is not possible to lift the house arrest. Overall, no one takes responsibility for ending the house arrest.

Some of their friends could meet with the approval of security agencies, though some of these individuals were deprived of meeting Mehdi Karroubi due to their political activities.

A prime example is Mr. Elias Hazrati, who could not meet because of the content published by the Etemad newspaper regarding recent protest events. Hazrati has been banned from meetings for about 7 months.
