Hossein Shariatmadari: We should send a ship carrying food supplies to Gaza

In the editorial of Kayhan, Hossein Shariatmadari wrote that the Islamic Republic can and should send shipments of food, medicine, and other necessities to the people of Gaza by sea.

Undoubtedly, the United States and its Western allies, as well as Israel, will oppose this action, and it is not unlikely that they might attack the ships carrying these goods. However, even if they attack these ships, firstly, it will set a lasting example for other Islamic countries. Secondly, it will further expose and disgrace the detestable face of Western countries that deceitfully speak of the necessity of aiding the people of Gaza. Thirdly, international authorities can verify the non-military nature of the cargo on these ships by examining them.
