HRANA: Golrokh Iraee Remains Indefinitely Detained After Five Months

Hrana: Golrokh Iraee remains in prison without resolution after five months

Hrana, the news agency of human rights activists in Iran, has reported on the continued detention and unresolved status of former political prisoner Golrokh Iraee.

According to Hrana, it has been over five months since Ms. Iraee’s arrest, and she remains in limbo in the women’s ward of Evin Prison.

Golrokh Iraee was arrested in October by security forces at her home in Tehran. She was later charged in November by Branch 2 of the Evin Prosecutor’s Office with gathering and collusion and propaganda against the regime.

Ms. Iraee, who had previously been sentenced to prison, was last released from Amol Prison in May 2022.
