A day before, the Scottish National Party had chosen him as their new leader following an internal party vote
Humza Yousaf, who succeeds Nicola Sturgeon, is the first person from an ethnic minority background to reach such a position. At 37 years old, he is also the youngest minister and the first Muslim to hold this office
