The Atomic Agency has not received any official notification from Iran regarding the suspension of cooperation.
The statement from this body says, ‘We are aware of the media reports, but up to this moment, the agency has not received any official notification from Iran on this matter.’
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Parliament, today issued a letter to Masoud Pezeshkian, communicating the law requiring the government to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency for implementation.
Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said, ‘We are currently in the process of decision-making and policy development. Right now, I cannot say with certainty what action we will take, but certainly, these cooperations will be affected.’
The plan to require the government to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency was passed by the Iranian parliament members yesterday without any opposing votes.
