IAEA Report: Iran's Enriched Uranium Stockpile is 23 Times the Limit

The agency’s report states Iran’s enriched uranium reserves are 23 times the allowed limit.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, in its latest quarterly report for the Board of Governors of this international body, has reported that Iran’s enriched uranium reserves are 23 times the allowed limit.

This confidential report, published on Wednesday, May 31, and obtained by French News Agency and Associated Press, adds that Iran’s enriched uranium reserves reached 4,744 kilograms by May 13 this year.

According to the JCPOA agreement, Iran was only permitted to have 202.8 kilograms of 3.5% enriched uranium reserves.

Iran has also enriched uranium to 20% and 60% levels, contrary to the JCPOA and a year after the U.S. withdrew from the nuclear agreement.

The report states that Iran’s 20% enriched uranium reserves have exceeded 114 kilograms; this figure was 87.5 kilograms in February.
