Hossein Taeb, head of the Basij Organization for the Oppressed, stated that Iran should not enter into negotiations with the United States out of weakness, hesitation, or fear, and any discussions should be conducted from a position of strength with the goal of securing the country’s rights. Taeb said that if the other side requests negotiations, Iran can engage in talks, but the aim of such negotiations should be to secure the nation’s rights, not to accept the demands of the other party. The head of the Basij Organization also accused the United States of attempting to create discord among political and social groups within Iran following recent military developments and emphasized that maintaining internal cohesion should be prioritized in response to these efforts.
