Import of Second-Hand Passenger Cars Removed from Law

The import of used passenger cars has been removed from the law

Despite the fact that the Appropriations Committee’s resolution explicitly mentioned passenger cars with less than 5 years of use, alongside various types of vehicles for the purpose of issuing import permits, the section related to passenger cars has been removed from the 2023 budget law.

Accordingly, only permits for the import of used trucks, buses, minibuses, and vans have been issued, and this does not include passenger cars, which perhaps were the most anticipated and could have contributed more than other items to regulating the domestic market.
